I’ve tried many putting training aids, and all emphasize putting your path through the ball. While at the PGA show, I found a very different type of putting training aid and it’s called the Eye Putt Pro.
The Eye Putt Pro is unique from other putting aids because the Eye Putt Pro focuses on two principles, 1st – assuring that your putter is always level while behind the golf ball and 2nd making sure your eyes are positioned directly over the golf ball. Both of these principles are well known by tour players, yet seldom tried and mastered by the average golfer.
Double sided tape (included) is used to attach this training aid to the top of your putter. The Eye Putt Pro works on both blade putters and mallet style putters. I attached the Eye Putter Pro to my Scotty Cameron mallet putter and immediately could tell that my current stance was not aligning my eyes to be over the golf ball. The Eye Putt Pro also helped me tell that my stance did not have my putter always centered . . . either leaning a little bit toward me or away from me.
I worked with the Eye Putt Pro on a practice putting green for about 30+ minutes. This putting training aid takes some time to get used to as your brain creates “muscle memory” while you concentrate and focus on your posture and keeping your eyes over your golf ball.
I then went out to play a round after practicing with the Eye Putt Pro, and honestly didn’t have one 3 putt that day! I was definitely taking a little more time over my golf ball while putting to make sure my eyes were directly over the golf ball, and it worked.

I really liked the Eye Putt Pro and do suggest that you consider getting one for yourself. The cost was a very reasonable $19.95. I do recommend the Eye Putt Pro as a very useful putting training aid.
