I read in a magazine that Jordan Spieth was chewing some type of gum while playing a round of golf, so I decided to look into it. Anything that may help him, certainly could help my game as well!
I found the product – It’s called Golf Gum. Although I had never heard of Golf Gum before, I ordered some and decided to give it a try. Golf Gum comes in a 5-piece pack. The packaging had lots of information, and each piece was a chunky square, similar to the old Hubba Bubba bubble gum.
Golf Gum claims that it’s product has zero sugar, as it’s made with Xylitol. Golf Gum also claims to act as an energy supplement as each piece has 80mg of caffeine, , similar to about a cup of coffee, or 2 cans of Coke. Golf Gum also has B6 and B12 vitamins, which are supposed to help with focus and boosting energy levels.
I tried my first piece of Golf Gum while playing in Florida. After I began chewing the Golf Gum, I bit into a liquid center that released all the ingredients that are supposed to help you on the course. The taste was okay, as it had a pleasant spearmint flavor . I didn’t have any immediate sensation or a jittery feel and I continued chewing the gum for about 45 minutes, as the flavor lasted a long time.
The day I chewed the Golf Gum, I was definitely calmer and shot a very low round on a golf course I had never played before. Was it the Golf Gum? I can’t say for sure, but I do feel that Golf Gum is definitely worth trying to determine if it helps you as an individual.
