Do you need a first aid kit when golfing?

I’ve witnessed several injuries happen on the golf course. I’ve unfortunately never carried anything in my golf bag that could help any of those injured people. From simple bee stings, to cuts, as well as a flipped golf cart, I can say that I’ve seen my fair share of golf-related injuries.

We should all be somewhat prepared for simple incidents that can happen on a golf course. Golf bags have numerous pockets, so carrying a simple first aid kit in our bags, that can help us or another golfer “just in case”, should be a no brainer.

I bought my first aid kit from Amazon for around $6 plus shipping. This kit has all the basics, including an antibiotic wipe and towelettes, alcohol cleansing pads, insect sting relief pads, lip ointment, sunscreen, bandages, and it all comes in a small plastic handy carrying case.

Since I’ve purchased my kit, I have had an opportunity to treat someone in my golf group for a bee sting. That person was extremely thankful and appreciated my kindness. Often, it’s the most basic things that we don’t think about . . . having a simple first aid kit is something that we should all carry with us on the golf course.
