Have you ever thought about using golf ball ice cubes? I located a company that makes golf ball ice cube trays, so I figured I get a set and try them out. Golf ball ice cubes won’t help your golf game but they are pretty fun to put in your drink, and they also make a great gift idea for the golfer who has everything.
The ice cube tray is made from a food-grade safety silicone. The tray will make four 2” super size ice balls that actually look like large golf balls. The company’s packaging says that they are perfect for whiskey, cocktails, punch, iced coffee, flavored ice and more.
I filled the silicone tray with water and put it in the freezer for about 3 hours. When I opened the tray and pulled the ice golf balls out they came, looking just like golf balls. The size of the ice golf ball was much larger than I thought they would be – about 2 times the size of a real golf ball. They did fit into a pint glass and a rocks glass, so I guess the larger size should work with most other glasses.
