A good audio speaker for the golf course?

6-17-19 – Update… After using the Tune Driver for 2 months, it would not charge. The cord would not fit cleanly into the charging spot and the head would not charge. I have asked the company for a replacement and I am still waiting for the replacement head. The sound was always good, not being able to charge the unit is a definite issue.

My weekday golfing group prefers to not listen to music while on the links.  That all changes on the weekends when I play with people who enjoy listening to music while golfing.   As for my own tastes, I’m good with or without music.

A couple guys from my weekend group have brought with them mini-Bluetooth speakers that have had average sound and fidelity.  Unfortunately, these same speakers are prone to drain very quickly and lose their charge during the round.

With the performance issues listed above in mind, I decided to put the Tune Driver Bluetooth Speaker to the test.  This unique speaker looks just like a golf driver, so it’s pretty inconspicuous while sitting in your golf bag.  The Tune Driver comes with its own USB cable to charge the driver speaker head.  Assembly is quick and easy – I charged it for 8 hours prior to use.

The Tune Driver’s test was very straight forward – after turning the Tune Driver on, I simply pushed its Bluetooth button, found it on my iPhone and paired the two together.  I connected to my Pandora account and away we went!  The Tune Driver’s sound was very clear and crisp, with an easy to use volume control.  The speaker had little distortion at higher volumes – it performed like a champ!

After 18 holes, the Tune Driver Speaker was still going strong.  The Tune Driver sat in my golf bag and never got in my way.  The speaker played without interruption and looked impressive.  After using it for 6 rounds, I found the Tune Driver to be well built, sounded excellent and maintained its battery charge longer than any other similar speakers that I’ve seen used on the golf course.

The company website is www.thetunedriver.com and the cost is $110.00. If you ever wanted a great golf course Bluetooth speaker or need the perfect gift idea for a golfer, this may just fit what you’re looking for to a tee!
