There are so many high end golf balls on the market, yet they cost so much money. Finding a high quality golf ball at a fair price is always of interest to me.
Sugar Golf is a golf ball company, and they sell golf balls direct to consumer (DTC). DTC means no added costs like the major brand name golf ball manufacturers who have to pay retailers, tour pros, advertising, and others to play their golf ball which adds a ton to the cost we all pay. Bottom line….Sugar Golf produces a very high quality golf ball at a price that is about half the cost of the high end golf balls on the market.

In general, this product has great ball speed, launches a bit higher and carries a bit longer, and has great backspin on wedge shots where it is needed.
The ball is a 3-pc construction with the following features.

Also the Sugar Golf ball has a compression of 85 which is very similar to a Pro-V1 and has a urethane cover just like other high end golf balls.
I tried the Sugar golf balls over a two week period which is about 6 rounds of golf. The fairways on a few rounds were soft and a few rounds we had our normal firm conditions. All rounds were played with thick rough. The golf balls performed extremely well; I had several really long drives, about 15+ yards longer than normal. The Sugar golf balls also had excellent stop and spin from the rough. I also had one chip in for birdie out of a horrible greenside lie in the thick rough. The golf balls also putted great, maybe a bit on the firmer side, but overall very consistent.
