I tend to come over the top occasionally due to some excessive wrist hinge and I’ve been looking for a golf training aid to help with that. After doing a lot of research online, I found a product that helps with exactly this issue.
The product is from Connex, and it’s called their Connex Glove. It looks just like a regular golf glove except it has a spandex band that keeps your hands together during the swing. For driving the golf ball, the Connex Glove it helps to sync your arms and body which should help the driver stay on the correct path. For chipping, it helps keep your hands connected to reduce over activity of the wrist, and for putting it helps keep your hands more quiet for a more fluid stroke.
It is very simple to use, first you put on the Connex glove on your normal hand that you wear a glove on then simply place the strap around your other stand. Time to test the Connex Glove, so I put on the Connex Glove and went to the range to see how it works and if it helps.
I hit a dozen drives using the Connex Glove as after a few practice swings it felt fine, so I ended up hitting about 15 drives with the Connex Glove on. The result was that my drives were straighter, it kept my hands more firmly together and I could tell my path was better. I then went to the putter green, and after getting numerous strange looks as to what I was wearing, I putted about 25 putts. Without a doubt my putts were also straighter and I felt much more at ease.
I tried the Connex glove over a 4 weeks period wearing it on the range and practice putting green. My drives have hit more fairways than before and I’m averaging about 2-3 less putts per round. Bottom line, it has helped and my scores have improved which is the most important part.
