Can golf shoes add yards to your drives?

sqairz golf shoes

I’ve worn Footjoy golf shoes my whole life. I’ve had numerous styles of Footjoy’s over the years and currently own 4 pairs. I always felt that a shoe was a shoe, and as long as it was comfortable and maybe somewhat waterproof that’s the most important part. However, now there’s lots of research and information on the topic of golf shoes that may change your mind.

I’m sure like many of you, you have seen the T.V. commercial with Sir Nick Faldo talking about these new shoes called Sqairz. I saw the T.V. commercial at least 10 times, and thought… is it possible that a shoe could help my game? I decided to go to the Sqiarz website and there I read a lot of information they have about their shoes and how they are better, so I decided to see if the Sqairz shoes really are better.

The Sqairz website talks about how your golf shoes are your connection to the ground which facilitates hip rotation, swing speed, balance/stability and accuracy. The Sqairz website also has a ton of great information on where swing speed comes from and ground force. It also has independent test results of their shoes vs others, and reviews from very well known golf coaches, tour players, and others in the golf industry.

The more important part of any review is taking the product out for testing to see how it performs. I was testing the Sqairz Speed White/Silver model, and when I first tried them on out of the box, I thought maybe they were a little on the tight side. However, after wearing them for about 30 – 45 minutes the tightness went away and my foot felt snug in the shoe. I’ve worn the Sqiarz shoes now for almost a month exclusively and that equals about 16 rounds of golf.

I can honestly say that I am hitting my drives at least 5-10 yards longer. I have not changed anything in my golf bag or the golf balls I use regularly. The only change was the new Sqairz shoes. The shoes feel like you are very stable to the ground, and are now very comfortable. You can spread your feet out more with the square toe area which is unlike any other golf shoes I’ve seen.  Bottom line….The Sqairz shoes feel great, added yards to my game and I feel much more  stable and confident in my golf shots.

The company website is www.sqairz.com and the shoes range in price from $199-$249. If you are looking for stability, added distance, and comfort, try Sqairz!
