There are tons of putting training aids on the market, and many of them I have reviewed are do offer some help without question. However, there is a new way of improving your putting using a science backed technology that is patent pending. It’s a very unique and amazing way to improve your putting that I have never seen before and had to try.
The company is PuttTrue, and here’s how their process works. First, they gather data using an introductory training session where they gather your natural putting tendencies. Next, they develop a custom ball marker that will improve your putting. It’s a very simple system PuttTrue uses yet it’s very scientific.
Time for the test. After getting properly analyzed by PuttTrue, they developed a specific marker they put on my golf ball. I want to be clear that the markers they develop are based on my data, and probably will not work for others, so sharing my markers with anyone else will not help the other person.
I had the specific marker put on a Bridgestone BRX golf balls. You can choose whatever golf ball you play, and this is my go-to golf ball. As you can see below my marker from PuttTrue is unlike anything you would ever do yourself or anything I have ever seen before. I took these golf balls to the putting practice area, just to get a feel for the markers, as I before was using just a simple line on my golf balls.
My miss is usually a bit left, and after practicing with the PuttTrue markers my miss seemed to almost disappear. I was making more putts than usual on the practice green, so it was time for the real test on the golf course. I average between 30-35 putts per round, and after my first round with the PuttTrue marker on my golf balls, I hit 32 putts, which was good.
