Whoever has a putting mat, you know every putt in a straight putt. It may be uphill and have different lengths of putts, however, the harder putt to make is always a breaking putt from left to right or right to left. Until now, there has never been a way to practice breaking putts, that is until now!
The Breaking Putting Mat from Me And My Golf is awesome. It allows you to practice breaking putts at home in your free time. The Breaking Ball Mat comes with 3 golf balls, one with a red line, one with a blue line, and one with a green line. These golf balls are what you use along with the colored lines on the putting mat to line up a breaking putt. If you line up the golf ball line with the weight in the ball on the left side it will break left, and weight on the right side the golf ball will break right.
Each of the 3 golf balls also offer a slight difference in the amount of break in the putt. This allows you to practice putting with slight breaks to putts with a lot of break. The Me and My Golf Putting mat I would say is about medium speed and if I was estimating I would say around 9-10 on the stimp meter. The Putting mat will be faster on a hard would floor and a bit slower on carpet, yet it would perfectly on either surface.
I started using the Me And My Golf Breaking Ball Putting Mat and golf balls about 4 weeks ago. It is simple to set up, all you do is roll the mat out and get the golf balls from their box, total time less than 2 minutes. I started hitting putts with the red line golf ball which is a medium breaking ball. I lined the red line up with the red line on the golf mat and watched as the putt broke left to right. I then switched the weight to the other side and lined the golf ball up with the other red line on the mat and watched as the golf ball broke right to left. It was very cool. Honestly, it was very fun practicing breaking left to right, and right to left putts as opposed to just straight putts. Since then, I have used the heavy break blue golf ball, and slight break green golf ball for numerous ongoing practice sessions. Bottom line, this is not only the best putting practice I’ve ever had, in my opinion it’s also fun and challenging.
