I have tried just about every golf ball made. You name it I’ve tried it including a ton of direct to consumer (DTC) golf ball companies. So when I saw an ad for the longest golf ball eve, I had to try it.
The company is Attomax, and they claim to have the longest golf ball. Here’s what the company say’s about their golf ball….. The Attomax golf ball using an amorphous metal alloy has been officially recognized as the world’s longest-distance golf ball. High-density, Hyperelastic with Amorphous Metal Powder increases maximum distance and speed. In a certification test conducted using a WRC-approved robot swinger, the Attomax golf ball flew 13 to 18 meters (15 to 20 yards) more than the 13 types of golf balls from 10 other brands. Certified its Attomax golf ball as the world’s longest golf ball.
Time for the test. I took a sleeve and I also gave a sleeve to my playing partner who agreed to test them also, who’s swing speed it a little faster than mine. On this test my ball went about 5-10 yards further, and my playing partner was about 15 yards further. We both agreed that the Attomax Medium golf ball which we were testing was definitely longer yet felt a bit hard.
I then went on to test the Attomax Medium golf balls over another 6 rounds of golf. The golf ball did prove to be much longer, however it was a harder golf ball, and I had a tougher time to get it to spin on the greens like my other golf balls I play.
I must note here that the Attomax golf balls are not USGA conforming, so you cannot use them in any type of competition. I really liked the extra distance of the Attomax Medium golf balls, however, I feel they fell short regarding short game shots. I must also mention here that a dozen Attomax golf balls cost $249.00. This is not a typo, yes $249 for a dozen golf balls.
Bottom line, the Attomax is a very long golf ball, average around the greens, and I think the most expensive golf balls ever sold.
