There are a few direct to consumer golf ball company’s out there, but I’ve yet to see on that matches their golf ball to your handicap. My test was with the Piper Blue golf balls. These are for people who have a handicap between 5-15, which is in my range, even though I would be on the higher side. I tested and used exclusively the Piper Blue golf balls over 6 rounds of golf during a 2 week period. The golf balls were tested in firm conditions, wet conditions, cool days and hotter days, so I feel it was a true test. The balls are similar to a Callaway Superhot golf ball which are long and straight and decent around the greens. The Piper Blue performed as good as if not a little better (longer) than the Callaway Superhot and they felt great off the putter.
Overall, Piper Blue golf balls were very, very good golf balls. I gave a sleeve of the Piper Black to a golf friend who swings much faster and is much longer hitter, as these golf balls are for someone who swings at 100+ MPH and hits their 7 iron more than 165 yards. He said it felt just like his Pro V-1 and was very impressed.
