I’ve tried many golf gloves from many companies over the years, but I’ve never heard of a golf glove made using Kangaroo leather until recently. After doing some research on the benefits of Kangaroo leather I had to try them.
The company is HIRZL and they make gloves several sports, however their what caught my attention was their golf gloves. As I put on each of the gloves on you can immediately feel they are high quality golf gloves. I could not tell that is what Kangaroo leather as it felt just leather a regular leather golf glove. My initial impression was that the GRIPPP FIT really hugged my hand, as it has a stretch fit construction on the back part which felt great. The Trust Control 2.0 felt very good also, so it’s all personal preference, but I like a tight fit and the GRIPPP FIT golf glove was just a little tighter.
HIRZL promotes how using the Kangaroo leather makes the golf glove much better is dry, wet, and humid conditions. Luckily, it’s always humid in the Mid-Atlantic nearing summer time, so the HIRZL golf gloves were definitely going to be put to the test. The first few round I can attest to each glove having an excellent grip on the golf club. I felt very confident I could have a firm grip, but not an overly tight grip.
Over the course over 15 rounds of golf switching off between the Trust Control 2.0 and the GRIPPP FIT golf gloves I was very impressed to say the least. Both gloves handed the humid conditions better than most gloves I’ve used in the past. Also on 2 days, we encountered spring showers and the gloves never slipped which I could not believe. Usually, I’m drying my gloves after every swing and having issues with keeping a solid grip, but this was not an issue with the HIRZL golf gloves. They performed better than others without question.
I also had a few players in my group try both of the HIRZL golf gloves. I wanted to see their opinion and how it compared to mine. They agreed that the GRIPPP FIT golf glove was definitely a tighter fit which most liked, however a few preferred the Trust Control and it felt like a full-leather glove they are used to. When I asked them about how it handed the humid and wet conditions, all of them were impressed and no negative things to say. All in all, everyone thought the gloves were very good, and did a great job with gripping the golf club, and liked the feel of both.
Bottom line, the HIRZL Trust Control 2.0 and the GRIPPP FIT golf gloves are great golf gloves. They both handle the hot and humid conditions with no hand sweating, and when the rain comes there is no need to switch golf gloves. In addition, the grip on dry days is awesome. I suggest if you are looking for a great fitting, and superior gripping golf glove to use in all conditions you should try the HIRZL golf gloves.
