There are many options regarding range finders, from ones with many bells and whistles to ones with just the basics. I have been fortunate enough to try many of them, and most are pretty good to be upfront and honest. However, I have just started testing a new one and it’s pretty cool.
The company is Vovex Golf and they are introducing their Bloom Series 1 series rangefinder. The Bloom Series 1 has some really cool features, with my favorite being it fits in my hand so I can keep it steady. Some rangefinders are so heavy, it’s not easy to keep them steady. It’s about the size of a credit card, pretty amazing! Another one of my favorite features is that the Vovex Golf Bloom Series 1 is magnetic, which in my book is a big plus.

The key as always is to take the Vovex Golf rangefinder to the golf course for testing. One thing that is also very unique is the small screen on the front under the eyepiece that shows you the distance, slope and other info. The flag lock technology works great, and switching between slope and tour mode is a simple push of the side button.
Bottom line, after many rounds using the Vovex Golf Bloom Series 1 rangefinder it is very, very good. It has all the features you need, plus is simple to use. The bonus front screen is nice in case you forget what you just measured. It’s magnetic as mentioned, which I prefer, and lasted me over three rounds before needing to be recharged, which was about one round longer than a few others. There are no batteries, you charge it with a C –Type charger. The Vovex Golf Bloom Series 1 is an excellent choice for golfers, especially if you prefer a smaller sized rangefinder.
