Although there are countless numbers of golf gloves that are available in the marketplace, most golf gloves are virtually identical. Finding a golf glove that actually has some additional benefits was previously unavailable until now.
The Copper Tech Golf Glove, with copper infused technology was a product that I found at the PGA Show in Orlando. I’m aware of many other products with copper infused technology that I’ve previously come across, including socks and therapeutic braces that claim to ease joint pain. However, this is the first time that I’ve seen a golf glove with this type of technology.
According to the company representative at the PGA Show, Copper Tech’s copper infused golf glove has many benefits. . The Copper Tech rep explained that their golf glove improves health and performance, supports improved circulation and the oxygenation of working muscles and joints and helps prevent strain and fatigue. These benefits come about by the glove keeping muscles and joints warm, which provides support for muscle stiffness, soreness and pain. A few other noted benefits were a non-slip woven silicon pattern which improves slip resistance and the gloves ability to wick sweat away.
I took the Copper Tech golf glove to the golf course for a round to do a live test and to see just how the glove compared to my standard Footjoy golf glove. The first thing I noticed was how different the palm part of the Copper Tech glove was it truly felt like the golf club would never slip. I also noticed that on the fingers part of the glove, where it would be holding the club’s shaft, were “ridge” type of lines that held the golf club much more securely than a standard glove. I was impressed with both of these attributes.
After playing 18 holes with the Copper Tech glove on for every shot, I felt no pain in my hand. . I can also attest that on a warm Florida day, my hand was never sweaty with the glove on. I cannot attest to any circulation benefits as I didn’t notice anything pro or con. However, I don’t have any circulation issues, so benefits may be more noticeable for someone with that type of problem.
Overall, I really liked how the Copper Tech golf glove held the golf club in my hand, kept my hand sweat free and fit well. If there were additional therapeutic benefits, then that would be an extra bonus. I would recommend the Copper Tech golf glove.
