As a golfer, finding a good sunscreen that isn’t greasy (which makes holding the golf club nearly impossible) is tougher than you may think. Part of my mission at the last PGA Show was to locate sunscreen manufacturers that specifically make sun block for golfers. SKIN Sunscreen offers several protective products to the golfing community which includes a lotion that is SPF 30+, a continuous spray that’s SPF 50, an SPF 30+ rated lip balm and polo shirts that are UPF 50+.

I used the SKIN SPF 30+ lotion on my face and neck for 4 rounds of golf while in Florida. Each day the temperature was well over 80 degrees, which felt really nice, coming from the North East where we’ve had a really cold winter. Before the round started, I applied the lotion liberally all over my face and was relieved to find that the lotion definitely did not feel greasy. . NOTE: I did wash my hands before starting my round just to be safe, as it was rather warm and humid.
Throughout the day I did perspire, and the lotion never got greasy or ran into my eyes. Each day, at the turn, I applied some additional SKIN 30+ SPF lotion as most of the rounds were about 4 hours. The product package says that it’s water resistant for approximately 80 minutes, and even though I didn’t perspire much, I felt that it was best to reapply to be safe.
Each day, I also applied the SKIN SPF 30+ lip balm, as it was breezy and I wanted to protect my lips from chapping. The product went on smooth and my lips never chapped.
I felt well protected using the SKIN Sunscreen lotion, and I can say I didn’t burn or have any issues. . Based upon my personal experience, I recommend that all golfters try the SKIN sunscreen lotion and lip balm. Playing golf in the sun takes its toll on our faces, necks, arms and legs, and we must be protected . . . it is very important.
