Putters are so expensive today and who knows who they are designed for. Is the store brand putter made for the pros or amateurs? Who knows is the answer, until now. A brand that focuses on the amateur when designing putters that is exactly what we need and deserve.
The company is Vice Golf, and they want you to experience the difference that true amateur-focused design can make. With over 10 years of real amateur fitting data supplied by HIO Labs in Munic, Vice Golf build clubs designed specifically for normal golfers. By focusing on the needs and challenges of everyday golfers, they have optimized their putters to enhance performance and enjoyment. This is golf equipment made for you, not the pros.
I have been using the Vice Golf VGP02C and VGP02 with the VGP02C being a center shafted putter and the VGP02 being a traditional heel shafted putter. First, the VGP02C is 100% CNC milled and designed using data from thousands of amateurs to combine unmatched quality with the needs of everyday players. It is face balanced, so it minimizes twisting and promotes a straight back and straight through putting stroke.
From Vice Golf…. the VGP02 C is twisting and promote a straight-back, straight-through stroke. The even weight distribution between the heel and toe prevents the head from twisting at impact, offering more stability. This design is ideal for golfers who struggle with directional consistency, especially those prone to pushing putts. By maintaining a square face through the stroke, it helps reduce mishits and improve overall accuracy.
The tapered steel wings shift the center of gravity away from the club face, increased further due to the utilization of aluminum for the main body. This results in a high MOI putter, while sustaining club face positional feel, usually lost by traditional mallets.
The Vice Golf VGP02 is a heel shafted putter 100% CNC milled. The tapered steel wings shift the center of gravity away from the club face, increased further due to the utilization of aluminum for the main body. This results in a high MOI putter, while sustaining club face positional feel, usually lost by traditional mallets. The sound and feel of the VGP02 combine to teach players to consistently find the sweet spot of the clubface.
I have been gaming both Vice Golf putters as I have used a center shafted putter from another company and the Vice VGP02C is extremely forgiving and makes squaring the face simple and effortless. The VGP02C is very stable for the entire stroke and the number of putts I was missing to my normal left side was significantly less. I felt in total control with my putting.
While also gaming the VGP02 over the past month and it has a slightly muted sound when you stroke the golf ball. However, I was able to hone in on the sweet spot time and time again and improved my putting by becoming more consistent. The VGP02 was very balanced, and I felt like I had a absolute fantastic putter in my hands every time I used it. It really instilled confidence with my stroke, and I was definitely a fan of the design of the putter.
Bottom line, Vice Golf has taken years of data from everyday golfers to produce some amazing high-quality putters. They use the highest quality materials and design putters normal amateur golfers can use to improve their putting. I can truly appreciate a company who focuses on amateur golfers and designs for them so they can improve and Vice Golf has absolutely done that. Plus, at only $269, the Vice Golf putters are an amazing price compared to putters nowadays costing significantly more than that.
The website for the Vice Golf putters is, https://www.vicegolf.com/collections/putters and I encourage anyone who wants a great putter designed for amateurs to check out all of their great putters.
