Staying hydrated on the golf course is extremely important, particularly during the hot and humid summer months. I’ve always been a proponent of drinking water for a long time, as many sports drinks have too much sugar for my liking. My concern with simply drinking plain water is that I’m not getting the necessary electrolytes to replenish my body. This is why I began my search for a non-sugar sports drink that would help me on the golf course.
My search resulted in me finding a company called ParBar Golf. The founder is a food scientist and an avid golfer, so I knew right away that I had found the right product. The company came out with a product called Par Water, and it’s a great idea and an awesome product.
Par Water is a proprietary powder in a unique delivery system that contains the optimum ratio of electrolytes and slow release carbohydrates. It has only 10 calories as compared to other sports drinks with 180 calories and 30 grams of sugar. The Par Water powder comes in a cap that simply fits over virtually any disposable water bottle. Attach the cap to your bottle, watch the powder contents fall into your filled bottle and shake the bottle vigorously. Par Water comes in two flavors – Natural Lemon and Natural Mango, both of which I found quite enjoyable when I mixed it with ice cold water. NOTE: I was also able to get the Par Water caps to work on my metal 30oz water bottle.

In my opinion Par Bar Water is a great choice before, during and after a round of golf or any other strenuous activity. So skip those high sugar drinks and try something that’s refreshing, low calorie, low sugar and good for you.
