If you like to stand out from all the others on the golf course, then you should consider customizing your club shafts. Shaft Wraps are exactly as the name implies – a special wrap that sticks to your club shaft. The company, Shaft Wraps, manufacturers wraps with nearly countless options to choose from . . . solid colors, national pride, aggressive and pastels (the ladies may like). Simply put, Shaft Wraps are an easy way to show off your individual…
Transferring your weight, at just the right moment during your golf swing, is extremely important. Doing this move correctly leads to better ball strikes, which ultimately allows for more powerful contact with the ball and lower scores. And yet, I’ve not found a simple training aid that helps with weight transfer until now. The Pin High Pro Swing Aid helps establish the muscle memory required to consistently and repeatedly complete the swing sequence. Properly transferring your swing weight is key…
I’ve been tinkering with my golf swing and wanted to watch myself on video to get a visual on my swing mechanics. I tried a product called the Qlippy, which holds your phone in place, allowing you to take videos of your swing while on the golf course or on the range. The Qlippy is one of the most affordable and flexible golf video tools on the market. The Qlippy’s 2 rotating arm sections and a ball joint allows for…
When on the links, carrying a divot tool in your pocket is a required accessory. The Exact Golf Tool is much more than a basic divot tool – it’s actually a 5-in-1 multi-function tool that includes a golf club groove cleaner, a ball marker, a cigar holder and a golf grip holder (keeps grips dry). I found the Exact Golf Tool to be just the right size – not so large that it’s difficult to carry in my pocket and…
We’ve all had those golf “situations” – really unique lies and we’re just not sure what to do. Well, the Quick Caddie has the answers, and conveniently attaches to your golf bag for quick-access. From how to handle a ball lie above your feet to a plugged ball in the bunker, or hitting out of a deep rough, the Quick Caddie will give you the necessary “tip” to get you out of your bind. Simply rotate the easy to use…
There are hundreds of golf tees to choose from and I think that I’ve tried almost all of them. I find that using the same tee for multiple rounds is a huge plus, and a tee that places your ball at a consistent height each and every time is also a huge plus. The Bugle Tee is the topic of this review. In addition to the features that I’ve mentioned above, perhaps the best feature available on the Bugle Tee is…
I enjoy a nice beverage after a round of golf, and so do most of the guys I play with. Although I have my usual favorite cocktail or beer, I had heard of a new beverage called Transfusion which really caught my eye and I had to give it a try. Transfusion is a unique alcoholic beverage as its main ingredients are vodka, ginger ale and grape juice. Although Transfusion has been around a long time, it’s never been available…
Putting is perhaps the most important element of everyone’s golf game, so it’s no surprise that there are so many different putters to support all the different putting styles. I’ve tried numerous putting training aids, and I found each one to be more of a chore than an enjoyable exercise. I’m pleased to report that I’ve found a great putting training aid that works. It has no electronics and can be used both indoors and outdoors. Most importantly, it’s a…
Putting training aids come in all shapes, sizes and varieties. There’s a new training aid on the market and it’s the most unique product that I’ve ever seen. The focus of Big Balls is to improve your putting from the 2 – 6 foot range. Although Big Balls are extra large (30% larger than a regular golf ball), they have the same feel and weight as a traditional ball, and their roll is very true as well. Using the Big Balls training tool…
There are countless divot tools and ball markers available on the market today. Divot tools range from the complimentary plastic ones provided by golf courses to high end tools that cost in excess of $150! Of course, the most important thing about a good divot tool is that it works when used to repair ball marks on the green. I’ve carried lots of different divot tools and ball markers over the years, but recently I came across a unique company…
