Who has ever heard of a golf ball keeping you in a better state of mind? Sounds kinda crazy, but there is one company who believes that golf is 90% mental and 10% physical, so why not focus golf balls on the 90% part. Makes sense but how do they do that.
First, the company starts with producing a very high quality golf ball. I believe they are the only company to produce a 2 piece urethane cover golf ball, and they also produce other golf balls that tour pros and amateurs both get many benefits from.
However, the most unique part of the Saintnine golf balls are what they put on the golf ball, which they call “ Mental Mates”. These are tiny graphics that are pretty cool looking and each one has its own meaning to it. An example would be their Lion graphic for confidence, their Camel graphic for endurance, and their Elephant for calm.
There are a total of 9 Mental Mates that in their own way help you maintain a better mental state. As mentioned from focus, to calm to positivity to joy. It’s a very interesting concept, so I had to test the Saintnine golf balls and see if it helped me on the golf course.
I tried the Saintnine U-Pro golf ball, as it was a 2 piece golf ball with a urethane cover which I felt would match my game. I played with 4 rounds each time with a different mental mate on the golf ball. First impression was the golf ball was long and excellent around the greens. The Saintnine golf balls were as good as any ball I’ve played. I tried several times during each round to take an extra second or two to look at the Mental Mate on the golf ball, and see if it helped. And to my surprise I think it actually slowed me down a bit and I was a little more calm and focused on my next shot/putt.
Overall, I feel the Saintnine are excellent golf balls. With the added benefit of the Mental Mates, I think these are great balls that can definitely help players slow down, focus, and really help to improve on their mental side of the game.
