You should have some type of marking on your golf ball because so many people use the same brand of golf ball. I’ve paid several times to add personalization to my golf balls when ordering them online, and I must admit the costs add up. I found a great way to now mark my golf ball every time and not have to pay over and over again. It’s a really cool golf ball stamp company that will make a custom…
Using either too light a grip on your golf club or too tight a grip (death grip) is what every teaching professional talks about regarding the proper grip pressure. I’ve heard several times, to stop using such a tight grip, and to loosen my grip, but how much, and how do I find the correct amount of grip pressure? I think this is a question many people have and really have a tough time finding the answer to. After a…
I’ve been playing with Callaway PM grind wedges for about 3 years, since I saw Phil using them on tour, and I must say I play really well with them. However, I’m always searching for something that works better, whether it’s easier bunker shots, getting the golf ball to check up quicker, or less chunks and skulls. I noticed a really unique looking golf wedge on Instagram and had to give it a try, as it truly looks like no…
I’ve played all the golf balls out there from Top Flite to Titleist and literally everything in between. I’m always looking for those extra few yards or better short game spin. Most of the higher end golf balls cost over $45. There has to be comparable golf balls that don’t cost that much, maybe a company who isn’t paying hundreds of tour pros’ or selling wholesale to retailers who must mark the price up to make a profit. My point…
There are thousands of divot tools out there, and I’ve written about more than a handful. From the free tools supplied by pro shops, to high-end models with loads of added features, I’ve always been a fan of unique and innovative divot tools. No tool as a cool as the one that I just tested from Kraken Golf! When I started using a Kraken divot tool, everyone in my group asked, “where did you get that?” The divot tool is…
We’ve all seen PGA Pro’s pull those Little Green Golf Books out of their back pocket. I’ve always imagined having my own green book, wondering if I’d then start making more puts or stop missing the cup by 4 feet? The day has finally come where we can all have our own Green Golf Book for our favorite courses! Golf Logix has launched their own Golf Green Books, representing over 14,000 different courses. Naturally, I just had to get one…
Staying hydrated on the golf course is extremely important, particularly during the hot and humid summer months. I’ve always been a proponent of drinking water for a long time, as many sports drinks have too much sugar for my liking. My concern with simply drinking plain water is that I’m not getting the necessary electrolytes to replenish my body. This is why I began my search for a non-sugar sports drink that would help me on the golf course. My search resulted…
We’ve all see it – after a long hot day on the golf course, we find ourselves wearing hats that have retained an ugly white sweat stain. Unfortunately, I’ve had my fair share of ruined hats too. Starting in June, and running all the way through September, the heat and humidity are quite elevated where I live and play on the East Coast. As I write this review in late July, today’s temperatures in my home town are expected to…
Transferring your weight, at just the right moment during your golf swing, is extremely important. Doing this move correctly leads to better ball strikes, which ultimately allows for more powerful contact with the ball and lower scores. And yet, I’ve not found a simple training aid that helps with weight transfer until now. The Pin High Pro Swing Aid helps establish the muscle memory required to consistently and repeatedly complete the swing sequence. Properly transferring your swing weight is key…
When on the links, carrying a divot tool in your pocket is a required accessory. The Exact Golf Tool is much more than a basic divot tool – it’s actually a 5-in-1 multi-function tool that includes a golf club groove cleaner, a ball marker, a cigar holder and a golf grip holder (keeps grips dry). I found the Exact Golf Tool to be just the right size – not so large that it’s difficult to carry in my pocket and…
