The Sound Caddy is a golf-inspired premium speaker that is designed to look just like a golf driver, with two (2) premium speakers that are embedded within the driver’s “head”. Interestingly, the Sound Caddy’s head is detachable and has a spike-type mount which allows it to be stored directly within the golf tee holder in your golf cart. This detachable feature makes this speaker system portable, allowing you to transport it almost anywhere. Another excellent feature is the Sound Caddy…
I don’t often write about golf apparel, as there are just too many brands out there. However, I have found Rhoback, who is a company that offers high quality golf apparel . . . and I think that their logo looks pretty cool too. Rhoback offers Q-Zip pullovers, polo shirts, hats and dog bandanas. I tried both a Rhoback polo shirt and a performance hat and I was very impressed. . Their polo has these awesome features – a collar…
Although this season is still young, my scores have been somewhat disappointing. I seem to have lost a degree of accuracy with my driver and irons, so I’ve begun searching for answers. Because all clues pointed to my grip, I thought that I may have been doing something different subconsciously – something that I hadn’t been doing before. After repeatedly practicing to hold my hands at different places up, down and around the grip, I decided to try The Perfect Golf Grip,…
When on the links, I always use a golf towel, whether to wipe off a club or clean a ball. A quality golf towel is an essential accessory. I’ve always simply taken a white hand towel, wet it down and thrown it over the back of my bag. I make it a habit of always wiping off my clubs after each shot (especially bunkers) as they always seem to get mud, sand and dirt in between their grooves. Lastly, I…
Because I seem to require an energy boost after the front 9 holes, I usually carry a bag of peanuts to eat at the turn. A small bag of peanuts is an easy and convenient snack that I always carry in my golf bag. Sometimes I splurge with a hot dog at the turn, but I’m convinced that there are better ways to maintain my endurance without sacrificing nutrition. I shy away from traditional energy bars as I don’t enjoy…
PGA Tour professional, Jim Furyk, is the brand ambassador for the On Point company who happens to sell a truly unique ball marker – it has a 3-dimensional design unlike anything I’ve seen before. On Point’s marker is domed but can convert to a flat marker if someone’s putting behind you. The On Point ball marker acts as a visual guide that helps you commit to your putting line. It also happens to speed up the pace of play as…
Like everyone, I’m constantly trying to figure out ways to add a few more yards to my game. With so many available choices in golf balls, there’s almost an unlimited number of options available to try and test Today’s review is on golf balls manufactured by Zero Friction. Perhaps better known for their golf gloves, Zero Friction sells matte finish golf balls in 5 colors plus white. I’ve seen plenty of people play with yellow and red balls, but green…
I bring my Smartphone with me when I’m golfing as it’s important that I’m able to retrieve text messages and incoming calls while on the course. There’s really not proper storage for a phone in a golf cart, which is strange as everyone brings their phone onto the course. Most of the time, I choose to store my phone in the front compartment of the golf cart. Many golf carts now have phone chargers built right into them . .…
Handheld GPS units, lasers and GPS watches have become commonplace. After looking for something that’s more convenient and easier to travel with, I was impressed to have come across the Distance Pro GPS Golf Glove. The Distance Pro Golf Glove has access to over 35,000 golf courses, so finding your home course, or virtually any other domestic course should not be an issue. The Distance Pro Golf Glove is battery powered , and pairs wirelessly via Bluetooth with your smart…
Like everyone else, I perspire in the heat when I golf. In the Mid-Atlantic region it gets really hot and humid, and sweating is just a part of playing golf in warm weather. If you’re not familiar with what happens when your forehead sweats, your hat gets white lines on the outside. These white streaks look really bad, and after washing, the hat is never quite the same. At the PGA show, I talked to a company called No Sweat…
